Codex~ is an organism made of a network of digitals processors, that exchange and destroy texts, showings the residue through screens and impressions. Texts are read and sent between computers as a meaningless data stream. The data processed by the network are hidden almost entirely, only a minimum part of the total operation is displayed and printed. The organism has sensors that monitor the surrounding area, and work when there are no trace of humanity present.
m̸od~ collective is an interdisciplinary artistic group founded in 2015 in Córdoba (AR) by Andrés Belfanti, Salvador Marino, and Ismael Verde. The collective explores the intersection of performance and electronic media, working with obsolete technology, discarded materials, and free software to question consumerism and the boundaries between human and machine.
Codex~ was selected to participate in Anti-DADA Homage during the 2017 Performance Biennale (Bp.17) at the Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
